WHY BUY AEROMAGIC

That’s a great question. What makes AeroMagic the company for you first or next special shape? Really, there are lots of competent companies out there. So what makes AeroMagic the best?

A long, long time ago, Marcos learned the dynamic of the hot air balloon building large toy versions from paper. Everything was completely made of paper. The loading of those balloons was calculated out. Marcos noticed that he was able to work extreme loading on these toy paper balloons the way he was designing them. He realized that if he could perform such high loading with just paper, he could certainly do much better with nylon building giant hot air balloons.

AeroMagic prides itself on engineering. So much so, Marcos Bonimcontro, co-founder and physics instructor wrote his own design program specially for the dynamics exclusive to the unusual shaped hot air envelopes. The common factor between round balloons and Special Shape balloons is that the major weight loading for the balloon is underneath, where the basket is connected. Other than that, anything can change.

Look inside a Special Shape balloon. Check out the pictures on this site that show the inner structures. There are none in a round balloon. But in a Special Shape, all those curtains and cords are displacing stresses and loads to other sections of the envelope. These diversions pull sides in, spread connections and loads evenly across several panels or redirect air to appendages, inflating tentacles, beaks, wings, noses or perhaps even birds. Get these connections wrong and the balloon could stand in a crooked or offset manner. Appendages may inflate and deflate during and after burns. Every single connection is critical and strategic.

AeroMagic will even custom color fabrics. When ING required a certain color to match the Orange Ball logo, AeroMagic was able to help. Working from PMS colors and samples, they matched the color that was desired. The end result was a giant corporate logo. How cool is that?

AeroMagic prides itself on delivery times. Complete the order of your balloon. Get your balloon. On time. Not two, three, four, five months later like some of the other horror stories we’ve all heard. You project gets built, tested, and sent to the airport for delivery. When we say it will leave the factory, it leaves the factory, or before. Do we sound confident? We are.
